Westwood Christian vs. Grace Academy

Published by wcsbasketball on

Game 2 for our Young Warriors featured a variety of up-tempo plays and plenty of fast-break action. Senior Jules Molina brought his intensity and 3-point shot to this game, draining 4 3’s to go along with his game-high 5 steals

Point guard Berlingo Beautelus aka “bego” (class of 2018) dropped several “dimes” and ran the show for our Warriors while applying full-court pressure at every chance. James wasn’t far behind with another spectacular display of athleticism and sheer will.

James finished with a great stat line of 15-points, 10-rebounds, 3-blocks. He continues to be a bright spot for the team, stepping-up his defense and showing how hard he has trained throughout the summer.

Our bench was in full-display as well, with 8th grader Jordan Shorter leading all scores with 16-points and passing out 5 assists.

Senior Jonathan Espinosa put his shooting abilities on display as well, going 3 for 6 from “down-town” and chipping-in with 11 points. Even 7th grader Jose Amat III got into the action, running the offense and finding his teammates in the half court set.

Our Young Warriors took another step in the right direction with this contest, showing their trust and confidence in each other and putting in a solid defensive effort

Final Score: Warriors 64 – Grace Academy 20
