Westwood Christian vs. Ransom Everglades

Published by wcsbasketball on

Our Warriors dominating front-line was on full display versus Ransom High, as they shut-down anything close to the rim while limiting their opponent’s to one shot at a basket

Big E” showed why he is the best big-man in South Florida, totaling 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 blocks. His ability to alter the flow of the game with his presence alone is a huge factor for our Warriors, and will be counted on heavily as the season progresses.

James continued his torrid start, attacking the rim with reckless abandon while gobbling-up offensive rebounds at will. His 3 straight double-doubles to begin the season (13pts,11rbs) have paced the team early on and have also propelled him in the ranks of the County’s best.

Junior forward Sebastian Guitian wasn’t far behind, chipping-in with 14 points and 10 rebounds of his own. Sebass continues to develope nicely and is enjoying a fine start to the season.

The team’s man-to-man defensive pressure was stifling right from the jump and proved to be more than Ransom could handle, forcing errant passes and miscues all game long. Our perimeter defensive effort continues to improve and is the reason behind a hot start of the year.

Final Score: Warriors 74 – Ransom 49
