SLAM Holiday Invitational Tournament

Published by wcsbasketball on

Going against some of the top talent in South Florida was the plan all along for our Warriors, as we competed in another Holiday event with high expectations and lofty goals. Finishing with a respectable 2-1 record was something to be proud of, as we continued to gel and become more of a team with each contest.

Senior Adrian Farradas led the way offensively with a tournament average of 16.5ppg, putting his long-range game on display with a bevy of 3-pointers throughout the tourny while Emmanuel racked-up the boards and blocks at a rapid pace, averaging a staggering 12.6rpg and 7.5blks.

Getting quality effort from various players made the real difference this weekend, Sebastian Guitian put his scoring on display while teammate James Ametepe continued to slash to the rim and play a total game with his defensive effort and hustle. Bigo had his best offensive game with a 17-point outing while also consistently making the extra pass, leading to many easy buckets for teammates.

8th grader Jordan Shorter made the most of his time as well, putting his versatility on display with moves to the basket, good passes, smart decision-making and hard-nosed play. Our Warriors have steadily shown the dedication and discipline needed to become a complete team and are enjoying the process along the way.

Final Score: Warriors 86 – NW Christian 40

Final Score: Warriors 80 – South Dade 57
