Purdue target Emmanuel Dowuona fielding new interest as July opens
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — After Purdue seemed to get way out in front of the field on Class of 2018 center Emmanuel Dowuona, it’s becoming increasingly clear the Boilermakers may have a fight on their hands for their most prominent center target.
The 6-foot-10, 210-pound 5 man from Miami said Wednesday night at the Under Armour Association Finals in the Atlanta area that he’s planning official visits to Georgia Tech and maybe Southern Cal and fielding new interest from Kansas, Arkansas and North Carolina State as the July evaluation period opens.
Dowuona, a native of Ghana who’s played just two seasons of formal basketball now, had Matt Painter courtside Wednesday night for his first outing of the evaluation period.
