Warriors vs. Northwest Christian

Published by wcsbasketball on

Playing back-to-back District games is no easy task regardless of opponent, and our Warriors found out that lesson the hard way. Overcoming a valiant effort from N.W. Christian was no easy task, as our Warriors fought off the charge and narrowly escaped with the win.

Seventh grader Jose Amat III was summoned from the bench in the fourth quarter of a tight ballgame, and he responded with a masterful job of running the offense. Jose dictated the pace and made no forced decisions, calmly finding the right man throughout the 4th.

Senior Adrian Farradas led the offensive way for our Warriors with a team-high 20-points while senior Matthew Mejias put in 20-points of his own. Matthew has had a wonderful season and career for our Warriors and will be greatly missed once his season finishes. Matt also chipped-in with 11-rebounds and took two gut-wrenching charges.

All those “little things” add up to winning plays for our Warriors. Sebastian Guitian also got into the action with his third straight double-double (12pts & 12rbs).

Final Score: Warriors 75 – NW Christian 65
